Skiing with my Sister in Soelden, Austria
Of all the ski towns I have been to, Soelden, Austria is my favorite. I’ve skied in Lake Tahoe and I’ve skied in Aspen, Vail, and Stowe. I have been to more ski towns than big cities. Soelden is such a ski town that in the middle of winter, visitors can ski in and ski out of most of the hotels.
The Hills are Alive
The Salzkammergut district along the Austrian Alps is a truly beautiful place. Lined with small picturesque Austrian towns, lakes that go on for miles, and views of the beautiful Austrian countryside, the district located in Western Austria shows the true Austrian enchantment. Well, my first time to Austria was also my first time to Europe. I headed to Soelden, Austria where the Alpine Ski Racing World Cup Opener is every year. My team and I went with my Austrian coach to do some pre-season training for the month of October
