I left Bath this morning. It was the most bittersweet thing ever—saying goodbye to people that I had bonded with and connected with for the past four months and yet being so excited to come back home and see people I’ve known and loved forever. It’s strange to think that four months ago, none of these people were in my life and yet I’m leaving them today with a profound sense of sadness
With only two weeks left abroad, I think it’s fair to say that I’m panicking. It feels like there are a million things to do and a billion places to see before I pack my suitcase and head back to the States. I feel like I should be traveling every free second I have in an attempt to experience as much of the UK as I can before I leave.
This weekend I took a day trip to Cardiff with a few friends. We spent most of the day walking around the bay, looking at the water and boats. It was super low-key, and probably the least stressful traveling I have done this semester.
Hello Pink Pangea readers! I’ve been in London for almost three weeks now and I’m amazed by how fast the time has flown. I’m a college student studying British literature in the UK for the next 3 months, which means I spend most mornings (10am -1pm) in class.
I’ve never been so acutely aware of being a woman. No, this didn’t happen in a club or at a bar, it happened in a hostel in Dover, England. I’d gone with a friend to the city for a few days to see the cliffs and the castle, and being broke college kids, we decided to stay in a hostel.
