Greetings from Panama! Today was magical to say the least. Our lovely tour guide, Pedro, drove us to the Chagres River to meet the Darien tribe. As we exited his Hyundai we were greeted by the tribe chief and escorted to our canoe. While drifting along the Chagres, we could see women washing their clothes in the river, children playing with their dogs, families returning to their huts, and of course, other tourists
“This is my favorite place in London,” my boyfriend says, as we sit eating pizza at the Italian Coffee Company, which despite its name, is a pizza place where I have never seen anyone order coffee.
It came from an embassy consultant when I arrived in Ethiopia at the start of a two year tour. But this can certainly apply anywhere. So pay attention. It might bruise your ego a tad, but everyone needs a little humbling advice every once in a while
If you would have asked me where I would have liked to study abroad five years ago, I would have given you all the typical answers. Could I see myself sipping a café au lait in Paris, strolling the streets of London, or soaking up the sun at some beach in Spain? Absolutely. My decision
That’s an understatement! This was by far in the top 5 best vacations I have taken thus far in my life. I know some of you might be thinking Italy, Greece or the Pyramids in Egypt. Not even close. Good old North Carolina was where I experienced what I call a miracle.
