2011 saw changes that even a year before I would have never seen coming. Getting over your ex is a hard thing to do no matter where you are. However there are a few positives and negatives that occur when you find yourself hundreds (or thousands) of miles away from someone you once cared about.
I left Bath this morning. It was the most bittersweet thing ever—saying goodbye to people that I had bonded with and connected with for the past four months and yet being so excited to come back home and see people I’ve known and loved forever. It’s strange to think that four months ago, none of these people were in my life and yet I’m leaving them today with a profound sense of sadness
Once upon a time, I was a travel idiot. About fifteen years ago, on my first couple of trips to Europe, I researched virtually nothing in advance. I was lucky enough to show up at the right hotel and have the right currency in my wallet.
With only two weeks left abroad, I think it’s fair to say that I’m panicking. It feels like there are a million things to do and a billion places to see before I pack my suitcase and head back to the States. I feel like I should be traveling every free second I have in an attempt to experience as much of the UK as I can before I leave.
