After living in Korea for almost three years, I am still learning how to act within a complex gender and age hierarchy. Korean men are some of the kindest, most trustworthy people I have met. However, anytime I am traveling alone (or even in my hometown, for that matter) I tend to pay special attention to my interactions with men.
A political exchange between the governments of the United States of America and the Republic of Korea (South Korea) took me to the southern half of the Korean peninsula. For two weeks, I would have the opportunity to meet and speak with a number of Korean politicians, government officials and policy analysts and become further acquainted with the realities of Korean politics and the relations between the United States and South Korea
