Rainy and Thirsty in Ireland,

Burren-Ireland, Dublin Zoo

Here I am in the Burren, the west coast of Ireland in County Clare. The wind and rain tend to get crazy. Bring 2 or 3 umbrellas or be prepared to buy a bunch along the way. They will be eaten alive.

When in Dublin, go to a random side pub instead of the main ones first. Do that when it’s still relatively light out, meet some cool locals and then head over to the center of town. The locals will really show you how to have a good time and you’ll feel less like a tourist. It’s best to go with someone you know for safety reasons, but honestly, I never once felt unsafe. People in pubs will talk to you, but not in a creepy way. Also, go on a pub crawl. I know it sounds cheesy, but they take you to good places and you get a free beer.

One thing not to do – Do not go to the Dublin Zoo. It’s depressing.
