Sun in September: Where to Book

As the summer holidays come to an end and the back to school regime begins, it’s no wonder that some of us will be looking towards a September sojourn to help ease the summer blues. As the peak season comes to a close, an abundance of Direct Holidays deals come into effect, with plenty of opportunity for an affordable stint in the sun. While school commitments make it a difficult time for those with kids, those without (or at least pre-schoolers) will be able to guarantee a more relaxed holiday for a more reasonable price.

To make your September break worthwhile, it’s essential that you choose a destination that not only offers value for money but also provides the best chance of sunny climes. While some European hotspots will be winding down and cooling down too, others continue to guarantee great weather that would help to make your September getaway unforgettable.

The Canary Islands, just off the coast of North Africa, are well known for their fantastic year-round sunshine, with September providing great temperatures way into the 20s. Tenerife is an ideal choice if you’re looking for vibrancy and liveliness, while Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura would be perfect if you’re hoping for a slice of relaxation for your stay.

Meanwhile, heading east you will find the Greek Islands and Turkey, which are both notably pleasant during September. While the more north of the Greek Islands see temperatures drop as autumn approaches, the more southern isles, such as Crete, and mainland Turkey provide some superb opportunities for you to bask in the sunshine.

Of course, there are always the more long haul options and despite the hiked price due to the distance, you can still enjoy some reasonably priced breaks in places such as Florida, which provides some great value breaks in September and October.

Make the most of the lull after the summer peak season is over and treat yourself to a September sojourn.

This is a guest post.
