Whether you take a flight or the train, it is important that you look like the goddess you are. Undoubtedly, carrying your entire makeup kit while traveling can become a hassle. That does not, however, mean that you cannot look like your amazing self when you hit the road.

Here are some quick and easy tips you can follow for looking your best while traveling:

1. Bring cucumber eye pads

Consistent traveling can take a toll on you physically, and sadly it manifests in dark circles and the bags under your eyes. Besides getting a good night’s sleep, you also need to allow your eyes to rest and rejuvenate. Cucumber eye pads are extremely handy in times like these. Simply pop them on your eyes as you enjoy a quick nap on your flight. The cooling effect from the cucumber will make you feel refreshed and also make you sleep better. It’s a win-win.

2. Wear nude shades of lipstick

Try to keep your makeup light. A quick touch of lipstick can be all the makeup you need. When picking out lipsticks to carry in your handbag, choose the nudes. If you don’t have any, pick lighter shades of pink. Nude colors and soft tones of pink accentuate your natural glow and contribute to the freshness of your face. They are the perfect addition when you want to travel light.

3. Touch up using a primer

If you are leaving in a hurry for a quick getaway, just throw your primer into your handbag. A primer acts as a basic cover for your skin. You can easily touch up on those blemishes you don’t want others to notice, as well as look well rested. It also helps even out your skin tone after you have tanned unevenly. It can prove to be a lifesaver!

4. Don’t forget a concealer

If you don’t have a primer or can’t find yours, just pick up your concealer before locking up the door behind you. A concealer will easily help you hide those drooping eye bags that make you look tired. Also, with the help of your fingertip, you can dab the concealer on those acne scars and even them out for a great cover up. The concealer is probably the greatest magic trick in the makeup industry.

5. Use kohl for the eyes

Eyes are your most beautiful and charismatic features. So, pick up your kohl pencil. Basic black color has always been considered sexy and will never be out of fashion. You can use it to draw the rim of your eyelids neatly for a prim look, or simply smudge it a little to add extra drama and oomph.

9. Stay hydrated

Another organic way to look your best is by keeping your body hydrated. So, drink enough water through the span of the day. Most often, if you are visiting a tropical country, you can suffer from dehydration and it has very prominent manifestations on your skin. Also, water is a natural detox that helps flush out toxins from your body and keeps you healthy. A healthy individual should drink at least eight glasses of water every day. If you’re traveling to tropical countries, you might want to increase your water intake.
