SUMMARY:EVENT | Sacred Moments: A Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Some moments ask us to pause—to listen\, to notice\, to be fully present. These are the moments that shape us: often quiet\, but deeply meaningful. In this workshop\, we’ll explore what makes a moment feel sacred and how to capture that sense of wonder\, stillness\, and connection through writing. \nThrough guided prompts\, reflective exercises\, and shared conversation\, we’ll uncover stories that honor the extraordinary within the ordinary. By the end\, you’ll leave with writing that celebrates presence\, meaning\, and the sacred threads woven through your everyday life. \nDuring the online workshop\, we will: \n\nParticipate in four writing activities designed to open our creativity and reveal the stories we yearn to tell\nDelve into our imaginations to uncover key moments from our pasts\nShare our writing and receive feedback from a supportive community of international women writers\n\nAfter completing Pink Pangea workshops\, women have written for major publications\, launched their own blogs\, or continued to write in their journals. Others have simply enjoyed trying something new. All participants will receive a recording of the workshop. \nDate: November 23\, 2025\nTime: 12:00 PM – 1:00 EDT\nLocation: Zoom\nCost: $12 USD\nRegister now: \n\n\n\n  \nPurchase the workshop in the link above and we will send you your confirmation within 24 hours\, to your PayPal email address. Questions? Email us at hello@pinkpangea.com. \n  \n“I came out of it a different person than I went in…[Jaclyn] made us linger in our discomfort long enough to compel us to make a change. In fact\, she had to relinquish control in order for it to be a catalyst. That’s a mark of a great teacher.” – Stephen Elliot \n“After over a year of crippling writer’s block\, impostor syndrome\, and self-doubt\, I’ve begun writing again. This was not a battle easily won\, and every day is a new challenge. Last week I reached for my map\, and found inspiration in Pink Pangea’s wonderful community of creatives.”\n— Ariela Rossberg \n \nAbout the facilitator\n Jaclyn Mishal\nJaclyn Mishal is a co-founder of Pink Pangea. Since 2006\, Jaclyn has worked in the travel industry\, connecting thousands of individuals with international academic\, volunteer\, and internship opportunities. In addition to her work devoted to making the “gap year” mainstream\, Jaclyn played an integral role in developing international service learning programs. \nAn entrepreneur\, writing teacher and an inspirational public speaker\, Jaclyn’s speciality is guiding people to express themselves fully. Her creative guided writing activities help even the most seasoned writers break out of their habits and expand their abilities. \nJaclyn has led writing and Fearless Living workshops and retreats  internationally in partnership with colleges and companies\, including Google\, Barnard College\, Mount Holyoke College\, Smith College\, Wellesley College\, Wagner College\, REI\, Global Yoga Journeys and Hostelling International. Each year\, Jaclyn leads writing retreats in Costa Rica\, Italy\, Switzerland\, Spain and Israel. According to Jaclyn\, writing enables us to access parts of ourselves that we may have trouble expressing otherwise. \nJaclyn holds a B.S. from Binghamton University. She is a certified yoga instructor\, whose travels have taken her through the Middle East\, Europe\, North America Central America and Southeast Asia. \nJaclyn’s maternal grandmother survived the Holocaust and her paternal grandmother fled Baghdad\, Iraq. To them\, Jaclyn dedicates her work to providing a space for women to share their stories. \n \nRead testimonials from past memoir writing workshop participants here. For more details about Pink Pangea’s writing workshops email Hello@pinkpangea.com. This workshop will be recorded. \n*** \n“The workshop provided a safe and inspiring space to think about my own writing\, and hear from other travelers and writers. I came away with some concrete tools\, and an idea or two for future pieces!” – Rachel Romesburg Rice \n\n
