Finola lives and works in the small island of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. As a writer, she was Saint Lucia’s earliest blogger, writing about Caribbean life, creativity and thoughts on life in general under the banner ‘Sun, Rain, or…’ Finola is currently ‘Chief of Travel Inspiration’ at Island Effect – a website dedicated to promoting Saint Lucia’s best travel secrets, and she’s slowly writing a dystopian fiction set in the Caribbean, a few hundred years in the future.

Finola is regarded as an advocate for locally-led sustainable development in Saint Lucia, with a focus on culture. When not writing, she enjoys researching local edible and medicinal wild-plants, creating innovative recipes using local ingredients, hiking and photographing nature and culture.
