About the Author

Kelly graduated from Scripps College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, where she majored in Biology. Realizing that she wanted to affect environmental and social change in ways beyond scientific research, she spent 8 months in South America gaining experience in environmental education, non-profit work, and outreach through the Foundation for Sustainable Development. Kelly is currently a Climate Corps Bay Area fellow and serves as the Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Green Ninja Project, where she helps manage various projects such as the “Green Ninja at Schools” program and writes for the Huffington Post and Green Ninja blog. In her spare time, you’ll catch her rambling in Spanish, backpacking, kiteboarding, climbing, skiing, surfing or curled up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea.
